In yesterday’s post I spoke about “Thin Places”. I realized today that it may be a term that is not familiar to everyone, so an explanation: Some people say that “Thin Places” are places of energy where the veil between this world and the eternal is at it’s thinnest and you can sense the beyond. Others, especially those who are versed in Celtic spirituality, say that they are places where the boundary between heaven and earth is so thin we can sense the presence of God more easily.
Today we strolled another 11 kms north along the coast to the town of Caminha which is just before the Spanish border. It was a walk we had done last year, but in a great hurry because we were trying to catch the ferry across the border. Without such a deadline today, we were able to enjoy the walk, feel the sea breezes and hear the waves crashing on the rocks. Then we had time to wander around the old town before dinner.
The moon on the ocean from our hotel room last night

And the view as we left this morning

The coast never gets boring!

There are so many beautiful beaches and they are mostly empty! The hill in the distance is in Spain.

And finally, boardwalks along the water led us into Caminha
I’m one of those who needed the explanation of “thin place.” Thought you guys were shedding pounds as you clambered over the rocks. 😊 That shot of the moon on the sea from your window is stunning.
